Here's a photo of a Kowa spotting scope being carried by the Side-Saddle configuration of the Hitch Hiker. Any scope with a rotation collar should work on the Side-Saddle Hitch Hiker. The scope is perfectly balanced on the mount both up/down and fore/aft (two-axis balance). The Side-Saddle Hitch Hiker weighs only two pounds -- a half pound lighter than the Payload Platform version. And it improves the solidity of the mount and increases capacity. It's really hard for me to imagine a better birding mount!
