Warranty Clarification

Post by Stargazer » Wed Apr 12, 2017 2:03 pm

On the user group site, under the FEATURES tab a one year warranty is mentioned. But under the ORDER tab it indicates a two year warranty.

The warranty period is two years -- and covers defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage or abuse -- or changes in color to the anodizing. Note that clear anodizing is immune to fading or changes in color.

I should have also noted that normal wear is not covered by warranty.

But all of that said about having a two-year warranty period is mostly irrelevant. In the unlikely event that a Hitch Hiker should somehow be shipped with a defect, it would be apparent to the customer immediately -- and we would fix it. The Hitch Hiker is built like it's going on a NASA mission into space. If no flaw is apparent in the first two minutes, then no flaw is suddenly going to surface in the next 25 years. I we are going to work very hard to have no flaws in any Hitch Hiker. I think that warranty claims will be exceedingly rare.
