Jake is half the company.

My young, strong son Jake is half the company. He is a mechanical engineer with a masters degree. He and I have worked together on the Hitch Hiker from the beginning. He is also fully qualified to assemble Hitch Hikers. You would not notice the difference. No matter what, you can be confident in Hit...

Back in production in just a few days! Need your support.

Hi Everyone. Thanks for the notes of support. I also need orders! I am truly better off now that I know I have this disease, I'm not very far away from resuming production. Update: Please don't give up on me! I need your support.

Current Status

I have been in the hospital for nearly three weeks. I have cancer. It is a treatable form of lymphoma. Parts are ready. I hope to resume production in about three weeks. I apologize for the delay.

Re: Lunar eclipse 1/31/18

What a nice shot! Thanks for sharing!

I was all set to try photograph the eclipse -- but for the fifth time in a row, Austin was not able to view a total lunar eclipse because of cloud cover. Quite frustrating!

Re: W.O. ZS61 on HH bird photography

Thanks for sharing the view of your photography setup. It is very handsome, indeed. And I really appreciate you sharing one of your birding photos. There is a birding section of the User Group -- and I think it would be really neat if you shared your birding photos on a regular basis in that section...

Using the Side-Saddle

The side-saddle offers some outstanding advantages. It provides a direct connection to the yoke structure of the Hitch Hiker, increasing rigidity and capacity while actually decreasing weight. However, it is important to keep in mind that anytime the clamping lever is not locked the load should be c...
